Taming the beast has been quite a job, but from the looks of it, it was worth the effort! Of course it could be the sticker I stuck on the cowl, hinting (to the engine) that if it was not gonna behave it would end up at the bottom of the nearby ocean!
Let’s say, the main engine problem was Not Enough Fuel, caused by various carburetor bits, not being quite adjusted/matched as they should have been. It really helps to read all of the Walbro manuals to give you an idea of what is supposed to happen, and then you can figure out why it does not happen, and then you go and get the big adjustment hammer to make it so!
I must say, the one flight I had with it, was actually nice. It flies like a (overpowered) trainer, and the landing speed is so slow it catches you out! If al else fails, a pound of gravity should sort it out
