Taming the Beast

No, not that one, this is the single wing variety, but a Beast it is!

The original airframe was mostly build from No-Wood and held together(-not) with No-Glue. Both resulted in a slightly wobbly appearance of the big fan on the front, when it decided to spring into action.

So, drastic action was called for, and no better place to sort this out than the hangar in the Kilbroney Valley.

Project- WACO YMF-5

    A few brave members are embarking on a big scale project. At present 3 WACO’s are being kitted, and should arrive soon.
    Many regard this plane to be the pinnacle of the biplane aera.
