Put everything back together, still with the centre jig in place. The supports should be easy to fit into the straps, without major (or minor) force. Maybe the sleeves for the m3 bolts need a bit of adjusting, but nothing major! To slightly adjust the sleeves, use a long M3 bolt to gently move it in the desired direction.

Next comes the big moment. Take the centre section off again, and remove the jig. Of course we assemble things once again. Again, it is time to really measure everything accurately. Make sure the centre-section sits straight, both horizontally, and lengthwise. Measure the corners to the end of the fuse, to make sure there is no twist..

(If you don’t get this right, you will end up with the top and bottom wings NOT being parallel. Not only does it look cr@p, it might effect the flying pleasure!)

Again, when everything is according to plan, it is time to make the final connections. The front straps 572 are bolted down with locknuts 567a and and bushes 567b and washers 576c. To allow a mounting point for the flying wires, bushes 567b are added.

The 576b parts are mounted on the inner screws 576a, in the flight direction, at the front.

Bush must be fitted between washer 576b and strap 572. At the outermost bolts 576a the bushes must be fitted, seen in the flight direction, on the rear side. (Here too, bush between washer 576c and strap 572.

These bushes are used to secure the flying wires later. To stop the wire coming off, the washers are added.

After all this is done, the upper parts, fuse-former 502u (u for upper) till 509u can be added. Next step is the preparation for mounting stab and rudder. First glue former 577 with brackets 578 into the matching holes in fuse part 500. Next add the former 579, also with 2 supports 578, former 580 and 581 into the gear mounting plate 582. Make sure these formers are square.

You will have noticed that at formers 580 and 581 2 feet are protruding.

You have to make a decision now. If you want to make the tail section removable, you have to remove them!

If you want to make the tail section permanently secured to the fuse, you glue this section onto part 500. Former 579 must be glued to 578.

For the removable section: proceed as follows:

The little feet must be removed from 580 and 581, easiest is to do this after the former is assembled and the glue has dried, the feet can than be easily sanded flush with the bottom plate. Clamp bottom part 582 on fuse section 500. Both parts must be aligned.

Now the two pine parts 583 can be pushed through the cut outs and glued in place. The wood should extend 5-10mm beyond former 579. Break the edges and sand them slightly so the can mbe inserted into the corresponding holes of former 577. Glue dry? You can add former 584 now. Make sure it is aligned properly because this is where the trailing edge of the rudder runs.

While the glue sets, you can build the elevator. You can think about the elevator servo’s. (servo’s as in 2 pcs of minimum 10 kg/cm.
